Feline Daisy Crown

Seeing as we have created some dog based fudge box wrappers, I’m thinking it might be fitting next to honour the cats in our lives, so watch out, the cats will be starring on our fudge gift boxes soon!

Introducing one of our two cats, Luna! The Spring weather is slowly turning warmer prompting our 11 year old daughter to spend most of the day outdoors in the garden. A chunk of it was spent doing this, and adorning Queen Luna Cat with her bohemian makeshift crown.

Did You Know, Cat Facts...

  • House cats share 95.6% of their genetic makeup with tigers. They also share some of the same behavior habits such as scent and urine marking, prey stalking and pouncing.

  • Cats can jump 5 times their own height. Now that’s impressive!

  • The oldest cat to ever live was Creme Puff, who lived to be 38 years and 3 days old. Creme Puff lived from August 3, 1967 to August 2005.

  • Cats usually sleep around an average of 15 hours a day. This means that a cat spends roughly 70% of their lives sleeping. Must be nice to be a cat!

  • Humans are unable to hear cats’ natural vocal range, which suggests they have evolved to be able to communicate with humans. This is especially important seeing as domestic cats rely on them for food and attention.

  • Sir Isaac Newton is credited with the creation of the cat flap, because his experiments kept being interrupted by his own cat coming through the door.

  • Like humans, cats have short term and long term memory, with the ability to remember what happened 16 hours ago.

  • Killing a cat in Egypt 4,000 years ago meant the offender suffered the death penalty.

  • A cat has the power to sometimes heal themselves by purring. A purr’s frequency is between 25 and 150 Hertz, which happens to be the frequency at which muscles and bones best grow and repair themselves!

And lastly, great mews...

  • Unlike dogs and humans, cats are unable to taste anything sweet. Scientists discovered in 2005 that cats don’t have one of the protein required to taste sweet items. They don’t need to crave anything sweet because they only eat meat, as opposed to other animals.

So, this means your Fudge will be safe around your cats!
