Daisies and Ladybirds

Updated: Mar 24, 2021

We have two wrapper designs available based on the lovely common daisy. One is ordered and makes a repeating pattern whilst the other is more random and has the addition of Ladybirds.

Both of these designs have proved to be equally popular with our customers but I’m always interested in what thought processes go on when people make their choices. Maybe it depends on what mood you're in, or perhaps it's the ladybirds that really draw your interest?

You can find these gift boxes along with many other of our original hand drawn designs on our website, The Little Fudge Box or on our Etsy page.

How did the Ladybird get it’s name?

Legend has it that farmers in the medieval times were having some issues with parasites eating their crops. They decided they would pray to Holy Mary for help and shortly after this the Ladybird appeared and ate the parasites therefore saving the crops and the people from hunger. Ever since then they were called Our Lady’s bird.

And the Daisy?

The Daisy’s name? It acquired it’s name due to the way it closes its petals at dusk and opens them again in the morning - day’s eye.

You can choose fudge bags from our range of flavours to go inside your gift box, but if you're unsure then we will add our mix of 2 bags of Vanilla, 1 Honey, 1 Salted Caramel Liquour, and 1 Rum and Raisin. We can also include a message with the box if you wish to send it directly to the recipient.

We hope these daisy inspired designs will bring a little bit of summery warmth to you.
